Lauren Cantor, or “LC” as we call her, brings over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, beginning her journey as a busser at the age of 14 in Bethel, Connecticut. She joined Maverick in 2016 as an opening bartender at Lucy’s, where she developed a natural rapport with owners Shawn, Pat, and Julian. Lauren's effective communication and leadership skills have been instrumental in team trainings for the opening of five subsequent restaurants, including the grand opening of Sam Walker’s American Tavern, where LC is a Managing Partner. At Walker’s, the largest location in the Maverick family, she oversees operations that serve over 25,000 guests monthly. Lauren thrives on the unpredictability and excitement of the industry, finding joy in meeting new people and experiencing something different every day. A Communications graduate from Central Connecticut State University, she has always relied on hospitality, crediting it for both her professional growth and lifelong friendships. Her creativity and ownership of the beverage program across all Maverick restaurants, alongside her collaboration with Kerry on new drinks and ingredients, showcase her dedication and innovation. LC is known for her dependability and the trust she inspires in her team, making her an integral part of the Maverick success story.
