Chef Christopher Bauers
Director of Culinary Operations
Hailing from the Minneapolis area of Minnesota, Chef Chris has spent over 20 years on the Boston culinary scene. Originally trained in fine dining and French cuisine, he traded in his toque to showcase his skills in the way that he prefers to eat: elevated comfort food, executed with advanced technique. Chris joined the team in 2016 as the chef of Lucy’s American Tavern and was thrilled to assist in opening The Bowery Bar a couple years later. Currently overseeing the culinary operations of all locations, he enjoys being a part of the pirate ship that we have built and learning more every day from people with such diverse backgrounds. In his kitchens one can expect to be pushed to grow and develop skills and become a leader in your own right. Everyone has the potential to grow and be successful if they put their mind to it. While there is always plenty to be accomplished in the workplace, chef makes time every year to visit the state fair in Minnesota to drive some culinary “innovation” that probably has to do with deep fried Oreos.
